Garapuvu
Garapuvu is the symbol tree of Florianópolis, which colors the island's mountains yellow.
The species, whose scientific name is Schizolobium parahyba, flowers from October to December, and can reach 30 meters in height. Identifiable by the cup-shaped change model, and also by the yellow flowers, the vegetable is exclusive to the Atlantic Forest. On the Island, the tree can be seen on hillsides and in the Córrego Grande and Luz parks, located in the city center.
